Artist Grace Exley will be running drawing sessions from 12-2pm every Monday, at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, up until the end of June.
In this free drop-in event, Grace will be on hand offering short tutorials and advice. With the museum collections as a focus point, she will be exploring a different aspect of drawing each week.
Some drawing materials will be available and feel free to bring your own sketchbooks and materials too.
Monday 3rd June, 12-2pm – Special emphasis on depth and measurement
Monday 10th June, 12-2pm – Drawing through microscopes
Monday 17th June, 12-2pm – Architectural aspects of the museum, starting with a short talk
Monday 24th June, 12-2pm – ‘In the style of’ – using the drawing styles of famous artists as a starting point to inspire the way we make drawings from the museum collections.
