Fusion Arts is a charity based in Oxford. Our premises are located at the heart of East Oxford and the legendary Cowley Road, behind East Oxford Community Centre on Princes Street. East Oxford has long been a hub for artists and makers, and we are proud to be part of this creative community.

Fusion's projects reach across Oxfordshire and beyond, working within communities in public and environmental art, participatory art projects and high profile public events such as Cowley Road Carnival, WinterLight festival and In-tent-city - have you seen the bronze ingots on Cowley road? History

Fusion was one of the first community arts organisations in the U.K and has undergone a series of structural and organizational changes throughout its history but the focus has always been community based arts activities.
It was established in 1980 by three local people who had developed a programme of participative performances events in the local parks, and were looking for a building from which to expand their work. Oxford City Council gave the organization the premises it still occupies, located at the rear of East Oxford Community Centre on Princes Street.

The company was registered in 1987 as 'bloomin arts' and received charitable status in 1998. It now operates as company limited by guarantee (2089425) & as a registered charity (1070805). The name changed from bloomin arts to fusion - oxford's community arts agency in June 2001 to accurately reflect the growth & widened horizons of the company.
