In-Tent-Arts

18/11/2015

Oxford Extra Arts led In-Tent-Arts, a series of after-school workshops that took place in twelve schools across Oxford city. For In-Tents-Arts, schoolchildren and artists worked towards a performance and the creation and embellishment of three art tents. The ideas for the project were inspired by the objects that the artists and school staff had encountered at the Pitt Rivers Museum on an inset day.

In-Tent-Arts gave children from the Isis and Headington partnerships the opportunity to take part in multi-agency out of school hours learning programme in which artists from various mediums such as drama, dance and visual arts, collaborated and worked with the children during after school workshops, to create pieces of work to showcase at community events.
