One Destination, The Sacred Journey

09/12/2011

One Destination, The Sacred Journey was a film commissioned by Fusion Arts and produced by SisterVision that features ordinary people’s experience of pilgrimage in all its diversity.

On the 2005 International Day of Peace, a special ‘peace pilgrimage’ took a group of Oxfordshire women and film crew to Tavistock Square in London to exhibit the celebrated Oxfordshire Peace Tent. Footage from the journey has been interwoven with interviews from individuals with diverse religious and cultural backgrounds to comment on their personal experience of pilgrimage.

The engaging short film was then screened at the Ashmolean Museum to complement its exhibition, Pilgrimage – a Sacred Journey.
